Snow Day on the Farm❄️
I love the farm covered in snow, but unfortunately here in Alabama snow doesn’t come very often, so when it does you have to stop everything and take advantage of a full on snow day!
My son, (who is 4 years old) has only seen snow maybe two other times in his life but today is the first snow he will actually have memories of! So we woke up and ran to the window, he shouted, “Hallelujah, thank you Jesus for snow!” ☺️ His enthusiasm is so contagious, so we layered on every piece of clothing we could find, ran down the stairs, and burst through the door into the snow!
We have literally played “snow football” (as my son likes to say) in 10 minute increments all day long!
I personally love to see the farm covered in white. There is something so picturesque about the frosted pastures with the cattle roaming, and it reminds me how thankful I am to live in such a beautiful place.
God’s beautiful creation on display in the wintery white gives me such peace in knowing that God has designed a season for everything in our lives. In Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 the Bible says, “ For everything there is a season. A time for every activity under the Heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time for harvest.”
While playing in the snow my son kept shouting, “I’ve been waiting for this season my whole life!” I laugh of course because he is always full of playful expressions, but this phrase got me thinking….most of the time we are waiting for a certain season of our lives to bloom, always striving for what is next and seeking the “bigger” picture. I am most certainly guilty of that! But through the passage in the Bible I shared above, God is telling us that he has specifically designed and placed you in the season of life you are currently in right now! It’s hard to slow down and appreciate or even learn from whatever stage you are in at the moment, but God wants us to do just that, seeking Him in every season we face!
So take the snow day! (metaphorically speaking of course, unless you are actually in a snow covered area)😂
These are the only pictures I got today because I’m trying to soak in every minute I have with my little boy at this season of his life!
Special shout out to my Hunter Boots that continually find new ways of helping me out in this farm life! I’ve linked my boots here if interested in giving them a looksie 👀. Mine are not on sale but they are having a pretty big sale on their site currently!
